Payday Loan

Things That I Can Buy With My Payday Loan

Posted on September 7, 2018September 17, 2024 by Earl K. Miller

Loans can be a blessing or a curse, but it all depends on how you will use it. Having a personal loan can be powerful because you suddenly have the buying power to get the money that you want. On the other hand, paying for the loan can be very stressful. That’s why you should always make sure that you buy or use the payday loan for good causes. Below are some of the “good causes” where you can use your payday loan.

Use it for emergency purposes

Loans can be used for emergency. For example, something happened to a love one. A payday loan that you can easily get can be good for you. You don’t have a large enough emergency fund and a true emergency arises, a personal loan can help bridge the financial gap at a lower interest rate than alternatives like payday loans or loans from a service provider, like a hospital or a car body shop. You might be able to get a lower interest rate with a secured loan like a home equity loan or line of loan, but a personal loan doesn’t use your home as collateral. Ideally, building an emergency fund will mitigate the need for this, but you can’t prepare for every emergency.

Travelling

Using a loan to book a flight, make hotel reservations or reserve a rental car is a no-brainer for several reasons. In terms of peace of mind, loan cards are good for travel because many card issuers offer things like travel insurance, trip cancellation service, emergency services, medical assistance and rental car insurance at no additional charge. Certain loan c also let you earn rewards when you use your card to cover travel expenses. Depending on which you have, you could earn free flights or hotel stays, discounts on car rentals and vacation packages, free upgrades and access to VIP programs or even cash back. Some loan also offer added perks like free concierge service and special access to discounts on entertainment and sporting events. So it pays to shop around for the right card if you’re a frequent traveler. Check out our full list of the best travel loans.

Revamp your home

You can also use your loan for revamping your home. If you’re making improvements that will increase the value of your home, borrowing money can be justified. Plus, a personal loan will save you money on interest compared with what you’d pay if you put the improvements on your loan. If you use a second mortgage to take advantage of lower interest rates, you might be able to deduct a portion of the interest, but you’ll be using your home as collateral in the event you default.

Appliances and Electronics

If you’ve got your eye on a big-screen TV or you want to replace your old appliances with all-new stainless steel versions, paying with a loan is a smart choice. Many loan issuers now offer complimentary extended warranty programs for the things you buy with your card. These programs vary in terms of what they cover and how long the warranty lasts, but generally, they can be used to repair or replace an item if it’s damaged.

Some loan companies also offer purchase protection, which covers loss and theft, and price matching for the things you buy. For example, if you see the washer and dryer you just bought on sale somewhere else, your card issuer will refund the difference to your account. If you’re planning on making a big purchase, using your loan could actually save you money in the long run.
