Audible Membership Plans: Choose the Best Option for You

Posted on January 20, 2025June 28, 2025 by Earl K. Miller

If you decide to cancel your Audible subscription after the free trial or want to save money, here’s a simple guide on how to do it.

Important Points to Note:

  • Use Your Credits: Make sure to use any unused credits before canceling. Once you purchase something with Audible points, it’s yours to keep forever, even if you cancel your account.
  • Cancel via Website, Not App: To cancel, visit the Audible website. You can use a browser on your phone or computer. The app doesn’t typically allow cancellations.
  • Potential Deals: Audible may offer deals to retain members, such as a free month, discounted prices for several months, or a discounted annual subscription.
  • Payment Cycle: Your Audible subscription remains active until the end of your billing cycle. For example, if you cancel on the 4th but your payment is due on the 12th, you’ll still have access until the 11th.

Steps to Cancel Audible on a Computer:

  1. Go to Audible.com.
  2. Locate the sentence at the top that says, “Hi, [your name]”.
  3. Click on it, and then select “Account Details”.
  4. Choose “Cancel Membership”.
  5. You may be asked to confirm your decision, and Audible might offer deals to keep you. If you’re not interested, keep pressing “Cancel” until the process is complete.

Steps to Cancel Audible on a Phone:

  • Open the Audible app on your phone.
  • Tap the menu icon (three lines or dots).
  • Select “Account Details” or a similar option.

Choose “Cancel Membership”.

Follow through any screens, and if you’re certain about canceling, press “Cancel” until finished.

Audible Membership Plans:

  1. Audible Plus: Access all ebooks, podcasts, and more for $7.95/month.
  2. Audible Premium Plus 1 Credit: Receive one credit each month for $14.95/month, which can be used to get any audiobook.
  3. Audible Premium Plus 2 Credits: Includes two credits per month for $22.95/month.
  4. Annual Plans: Gain access to the Audible Plus Catalogue and receive 12 or 24 credits annually.
